Still Quilting

and it's going to be checkered with solid blue or green or something (don't have the cloth yet),

Also, I finished the body to my crochet earflap hat, and started a flower for the side of it today.

It looks better when I'm not posing for a bunch of pictures, but it will look awesome with the blue flower. I will share when I get that done. And I will continue the search for a non-human (or a non-me-human...) model.

Quilt

Hi, after a long break!
 You didn't know I quilted too, did you? Well, I don't really....
 Anyway... today, I brought back out my quilt I started a while back, after a girl scout class. It is very simple, and it is green and blue. Right now I have to finish a part, so I will upload some pictures soon as possible. It will probably be the only quilt I do in a long time, at least. I guess I'll stick to afghans :D

Summer

Like I said, camp was amazing, and our family vacation was tiring... but fun. I got a few new keychains for the collection that I didn't tell you about. I have a lot of keychains from places, mostly the spinny kind. I am crocheting some stuff, but I cant mention it until I give it, because it's possible my friends might read my blog. And then it wouldn't be a surprise. It's cute, so far.... I guess I'm not making exactly what I had predicted, but maybe this is better. 

It's so hot here, and very humid!!! I'm going to see the last Harry Potter movie, 7-part-2, which is sad because I've only seen, like, 1, 2, 3, and like 4 or 6 or something, before, and I only read 1 thru 3 (and quit for at least a while). So I'm going to be at a loss. But usually if they have a sequence of something, they make it so you can catch on. I'm pretty much going to be with my friends, you know the feeling, so it should be fun. Too bad I can't crochet at the theater! (jk)

My Favorite Salsa Dip

Here is an amazingly tasty summer salsa like dip. Try it! :D

Biking

We're going to the Grand Canyon/biking in Colorado soon, (after camping with a friend and church camp in Alexandria which is AMAZING) so today we are going to mountain bike. I get to use my new bag :)

My backpack

If I had a single backpack of things that I want with me, it would hold:
~My camera
~My writing notebook for fiction, journaling, poems, lists...
~pens, pencils, colors, etc
~brightly colored sugar and creme (yarn)
~my crochet hook roll (that I made :D)
~some books, like The Hunger Games, or Maximum Ride, adventure-y/sci fi, or just a library card registered at enough places, assuming I was traveling
~OK, I would need internet. A laptop.


p.s. today i just got a new adidas sackpack [drawstring bag], and it's awesome. I'm eager to use it.

Toys for Friends

As I mentioned, I was making my friends all little keychain sized (or not) amigurumi animals, and now I have it more figured out. So, update (I also edited their names, so don't bother to figure it out yet):

Amelia was given a roly poly cat

I am almost finished with Wendy's snail,

Skye is getting a purple monkey still,

Cynthia is still undecided, because she is my twin, probably a penguin, or a hedgehog,

Henrietta is getting either a heart, or an eighth note, or both together,

and finally Annie is getting either a Yoda doll, or a dress.
